my concrete settee is growing a head...

part two of this blog
we started to make a concrete settee back in the spring. we live in a very windy place and all garden furniture has to be built in…
just to catch up we have a bonfire site at the top of our garden and inspired by Noseypotter we thought we’d have a go at building some seating up there.
firstly we stripped down some old van seats that were just lying around. (you be surprised at the junk lying around here). then we covered it in fishing nets from the beach. next came the fun…mixing up the concrete was fun, especialy as there were five of us involved. just like making mud pies…he he he
long way to go yet with a deadline of new years eve….well here are some pics of how we are progressing.
it seems to be growing a head…..
it needs another coat of concrete then my husband julian is going to give it a top coat of cement. but with a new years dead line its on the ‘list’…..
its been such a giggle the head wasn’t intented but i’m liking in more and more,,,,
hope you enjoy the pics

some of the best things artistically are the things that just kind of grow while the work is in progress.
