A selection of spring flowers

At the shady end of the garage border
Primula vulgaris, Pulmonaria rubra David Ward and Synthyris missurica in a loose grouping.
Now for the shady Conservatory border.
I thought I had a Brunnera Jack Frost. Yes, its where I put it.
A plant that produces flowers before the leaves
Mukdenia rossii Karasuba.
In the shady conservatory border, there are mainly Hostas but the Trilliums flower before they emerge.
Trillium kurabayashii dark maroon flowers with leaves splotched with dark patches. I’ve had this for perhaps 15-20 years, very slow to increase.
Another patch of Trilliums, not a luteum as it has maroon flowers too
Trillium erectum, a purchase 4 years ago, hasn’t ever flowered yet, still looks rather small.
Trillium grandiflorum, always the last to come into leaf, hasn’t emerged yet, I hope it’s ok.
Nearly ready to flower a couple of Erythroniums.
Looking carefully at the soil, there are some shoots of one of Hosta just pushing through.
At the back of the border a Veratrum, a patch of Kirengeshoma and a couple of orange species Lilies.

I do love a shady garden spot, Siris. You’ve some lovely patterned and lush leaves...If I had more space in the garden I’d jump at having a ‘shady nook’ ...

My garden isn't that big. There is nowhere in the back garden, which faces North, that gets the sun all the day. The conservatory border only gets glancing sun early in the morning and the garage border only get a bit mid day at the far end.

You are the only other person I know with synthryis and muckdenia, mine are also putting on a show. The few trillium I have clearly are not happy they rarely flower :o(

This is such an interesting collection, Siris, most of which I have never heard of. I was looking longingly at trilliums in the GC but they would be very unhappy with me. The mukdenia is unusual. The more 'commoners' (dare I call them that?) in the garage border are a pretty Spring touch.
