The joys of a garden in April when the sun is shining.

It is hard to put into words the pleasure that being out in the garden at this time of year when the sun is shining brings! What a long sentence that was!
I have loved the last few days and have taken photos of my favourite bits of the garden. Add to them the songs of the birds and the humming of the bees and it is magical. Hope you can share in my enjoyment of this time of year – when the sun decides to shine!
Today we dug out and replanted this bed and yesterday my husband sorted out the veg’ patch.
We have bought two new plants :
Prunus Tomentosa
A climbing rose ‘Dancing Queen’
Just one or two more and then I must put my deck chair away and hope for another sunny day tomorrow!
The very last picture of our jasmine! I don’t think it will ever manage to be as lovely as this again!

After all that wind and then a cold weekend I'm pleased to say I also shared your joy, its been sunny and very warm today so gardening topped my job list, wasn't a hard choice to make really although I did get the washing sorted first.
The Jasmine is gorgeous Wildrose and its always good to see photo's of favourite spots in our gardens, thankyou for showing yours...

It seems the lovely weather has brought us all joy in our gardens, and some hard work too.,Chris.It all looks so well tended, and so satisfying, isn't it? despite being able to feel which muscles haven't been exercised for a while !
I love your two new plants, and you will get so much pleasure from them :o) as you are doing now, with your other lovely flowers..xx

Its all lovely, especially the first pic which is a winner!
I got a row of tatties in this afternoon but it was hard work because I had to remove the turf first to make some more space... A cultivator seems more attractive every year!
Your little posy is beautiful. Strange how the simple spring flowers seem to make more appealing posies than the flashy summer ones...

lovely we too are enjoying lovely sunshine this evening it has turned quite cool though, suppose it is only April, we get spoiled when the sun is so warm during the day. More cold forecast for the weekend I am afraid. Ah well they cannot take away the great weeks sunshine we have had. \;O)

You have been busy WR. Isn't amazing how hard work in the garden never seems as hard, when the sun is shining?
Love your pics and the Jasmine is amazing.

Thanks so much for lovely, encouraging comments. This wonderful weather is about to become a bit less wonderful I fear!
The jasmine is growing in a small conservatory which is unheated in the winter.
Never mind fellow sun worshippers, there will be more sunny days ahead - won't there?!!

Your garden is looking lovely WR, the primula is looking stunning and I like the white tulips, you have been busy with your borders and they are certainly looking pristine. It has been wonderful to get out in the garden and enjoy the sunshine this past week, think we are paying for it now though so so cold and windy these last two days!

What a lovely garden :) Not sure what's happened to the sun today. It's blowing a gale here in Cheshire and my poor garden has had quite a battering. Let's hope it brightens up soon.

It's lovely to sense your joy Chris. I feel the same way. I even put on cropped trousers today! But it has been windy and cool here, in spite of the sunshine. Still, buds are bursting and flowers are blooming! :))))
