Great walk through the woods Gee, that mossy wall looks like an inviting comfy bench to sit on! I like the fact that fallen branches are piled up like that, great havens for the wildlife. Its good to have you back Gee.

Thoroughly enjoyed that Gee...I take Bruce with me and he can't stay still in the woods for a second. So I end up with 10 terrible photo's for one half way decent one.

Lovely walk Gee it reminded me of our Bridle and woodland . I have never seen a white Squirrels it looks rather ghostly flitting through the woods, hope there were no wasps in that nest I would have had to put distance between it I can't stand Wasps. Great place for dog walking;0))

Lovely blog Gee, I know how difficult it is with camera`s and dogs, lol, mind you I get lots of pics like that even with both hands holding my camera.
I`ve never seen a white squirrel in my life so its lovely to see yours and also the cute fella waiting for dinner, as to the wasps nest, I`m glad I haven`t got one of those...

Loved walking through these woods ... a first for me to see an Albino Squirrel ... are they very rare? ... Just Googled it and it's just one in 100,000 ... so it looks like you have been very privileged to see this one! .. :o)

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I don't think they are particularly rare, Shirley, we have had them here, on and off, for years. I believe Surrey has a population of them too. I did read that one area was keeping a white one in captivity because it was being picked on by the grey ones but I have never seen any evidence of that here.

Enjoyed the walk with you, i had a was nest in one of my birdnest boxes early this year, hope the little white squirrel stays safe as i beleive the others will attack them dont they.

What a great place to walk and so much of interest to see. I did not know there were albino squirrels so another first for Goy. That is a big wasps nest but not the biggest I have seen. They are clever to chew up stuff to make this paper thin shell. I wonder if it fell out of one of the trees which were being coppiced. I did not think they would nest on the surface like that. Amazing photos and very moving with everything cut down but able to spring away again. Thank you for sharing
