It has taken me a week to come back down to earth after all the excitement. Now I am trying to finish the changes in the back garden which seems to be taking forever! I will also be trying to catch up with you all over the next week :)

Never heard of such a series of wonderful treats! Did you see the Roman remains in Chester? Did you enjoy the "two storey" shops?
And then the lovely train trip to finish it off - you must be the most cared for 70 year old around!

Thank you all, it is taking me a while to get back to normal! Steragram, I loved Chester, even in the rain! I live in a bungalow so going up and down all those levels and around the wall was good exercise!

I have just caught up with all 3 of your 'Spoilt Brat' blogs and think they should be retitled 'Much loved by the family' blogs instead.
You had a wonderful time and you told us about it in such an interesting and entertaining way which I have really enjoyed.
We live quite close to Bowden's Hostas in Sticklepath, Devon and often pop in to see their range of plants all nicely displayed in polytunnels. Always have to buy at least one!!
A belated happy birthday to you and who knows what they will have in store when you are 80!!!

Only just caught up with this Gee, how fabulous and you were in my home city too! sorry it was wet for you I'd have nipped down with an umbrella if I'd known lol you certainly had a fabulous birthday - roll on your eightieth eh!! :o)

wow, an amazing visit, lovely views, you obvisouly didn't let the weather get in the way!
did you sing a song as you left Chester? "Chester song at twilight"????

Walking the Chester walls is better than hang gliding Gee and more healthy too. I love Chester as it was my county town. The rows, the zoo, cathedral and the riverside, roman ruins too. Shame so much rain fell. My brother was complaining yesterday about all the rain 18 miles from chester. Our butts are empty. I consoled him on his 80th birthday and me too soon! He didn't even like being 60! You should be much fitter after all that heavy lanscaping at 70. Definitely going into faves along with your garden refurb.

I loved Chester, Dorjac and Louisa, beautiful and interesting. You live in a lovely area, Louisa.
Wildrose, I was disappointed that Bowdens weren't selling at Chelsea - they had several little miniature hostas that I liked, but it was a beautiful display.
Neellan, thanks for thinking of the umbrella - it would have been useful on the top of the bus :)
If I'd thought of it, Fran, I would have sung it :)

Thanks for sharing the third part of your present with us. I have to agree with Wildrose on the blog titles.
