Sorry to spoil the party but strictly speaking, ophiopogon is not a grass, it's a member of the lily family

The sausage tree is brill not a lot else you could have done with it lol. Why does cooking always get in the way ?
The common name for ophiopogon is turf lily so that must be why we connect it to grass (turf).Though it does look more like a grass than a lily and the leaves are more useful than the short lived tiny flowers anyway :)

I reckon you should blame both Gee! (For being a valid contribution to our well being). A really funny blog and I loved your clever sausage tree.

I reckon you should make a plaster cast of your sausage tree and hang it in the garden, this has got to be the funniest blog this year, I had to go and make a cuppa before I could reply to you Gee, the tears are still running. Thanks to you and all that contributed.
