Another corner tidied

Been pottering around outside this morning (should have been indoors as have company coming in a couple of days and lots to do) but wanted to get this corner tidied up a bit, it has always been a bit of an eyesore to me, so decided on the spur of the moment (as you do), to put a few edging bricks in and tidy the little path. Curved the lawn slightly and put some chippings down. I think it brightens it up a bit, hope you agree. Will be extending the path a bit more when I get the time, and hopefully join it up with the one that I did last week as I think that will look even better. That will involve putting a path in front of the curved bricks, chopping out a bit more lawn.
This last pic is of some of my pots in front of centre bed.

Thank you Clarice, there is certainly plenty to see.
Willinilli thank you, hoping to join the two up together.
Cristina thanks, it does feel good when you do something that looks good. The slabs are small square ones that have had the corners cut off, almost round, but they are very old and need a good clean up really, should have done that first but hey ho, theres always another day, hopefully.
Hello Craftyemma, thanks for your comments, I am a bit of a heucheraholic really, but some are looking a bit tatty after the winter.

Well thanks Sandra and Sheila. Its about time I got some energy back, I've had a grotty start to the year and it took me a while to feel like doing much, but I am getting there now I think. I am beginning to plan what I shall do next.

Just take it easy Cinders, don't overdo it!

I agree,Sheilar..but aren't we all the same ? ..we just have to do things, when the mood takes us ...and I'm just as guilty :o))

I am trying to be sensible, and when my body says thats enough then I stop for a break, but its hard to do that once you get engrossed in it, you want to see it finished !!

Thanks Hb. I love my garden too. The raised beds were built many years ago by my OH. He used to do the hardscape and I did the gardening, but its just me now.

I like the pots and pretty planting in your garden.
Every area has lots of interest. :o)

Thanks Hywel, and thanks Terra. There is certainly plenty of interest I think.

You have some nice large pots.
Do your ceramic pots cope okay with the winter weather ?
Frost resistant ?
10 Apr, 2012
Yes they have been ok so far Terra. They are supposed to be frost resistant. But we haven't had persistent frosty weather this winter, so time will tell.
10 Apr, 2012
Yes, and the location of a pot can effect how it copes with the winter... as you say .. time will tell :o)
10 Apr, 2012
I think most of them do ok,if they are stood on feet..and I agree, the position as well...
