Springtime Hills

I wrote this blog for anyone who is having a stressful time from NFH or other things at the moment.
I hope seeing these lovely springtime hills will take you away from the bad things for a while :o)
I took the photos yesterday, in the hills near where I live. The weather was glorious ! although there were lots of clouds in places, and it made the views a bit hazy,
but it was warm and that’s what counts for me lol
Sunny hills free from noise,
A happy place for girls and boys.
Wind and clouds and fresh clear air,
It’s nice to be without a care.
Crystal clear babbling brook -
All you’ll do is sit and look.
Oh to be among the hills.
Better than the city’s thrills :o)

Stunning views and hillsides Hywel one thing they have nt ruined so far 2nd photo looks so soft and velvety, and the 4th that is a fantastic photo a picture framed with trees, the town would never beat this no matter what fancies they had, and love the stream and the horses so cute.

Hi Hywel - what lovely photos, and what a pretty area you live in. If my other OH saw that stream he'd just be thinking what sort of fish there are in it - not what a beautiful sight it is - how places mean different things to different people eh ?

What a blessing to look upon these scenes, Hywel. If I have a choice of activity for the day it is almost always a drive into the countryside, back roads only, and simple scenes such as the ones you have captured with your camera.
As we were home all weekend and didn't get out, these photos are especially welcome today. The verse that accompanies the photos really adds to the blog too :)
Thanks so much.

Lovely blog, Hywel. I have just spent a day in London (watching daughters run the marathon) and it was so nice to come back home away from the hustle and bustle and crowds.

You live in such a beautiful place, Hywel; it seems that there are lovely views from every road around! If I lived there I would never want to leave. The horses made me smile, they look like they're posing just for you.

Lol Lauram! That's just what I was thinking! They're such cuties... nearly as cute as the photographer! Have put this on favourites, the pics are crackin'! Your part of the country is beautiful Hywel, who needs to go abroad when all this is virtually on your doorstep?!
19 Apr, 2011
Lovely photos, Hywel, and - as you say - stress-free! Your rolling countryside is indeed very beautiful. :o)

I agree with Libet, and also with everyone else, what a beautiful group of photos Hywel, well done and thanks for posting this, lifts everyone's spirits!
Indeed, what on earth would I want to go abroad for?! Had a wry smile cos 2 days ago we had our serious holiday planning conversation (Round 1) and as we could not agree - I was for France and he was for Germany, we think we'll try and book something in Wales! Maybe that is actually abroad, tho, lol. Or does my Welsh grandparentage save me?
I think it may be North Wales and some kind of activity holiday for the kids and us - we need to do a bit of research....

Try Pembrokeshire, Weeding - wonderful coastal walks, surfing, kyaks, & lots of other stuff. I think its much better than N Wales, but then I'm biased! Send me a pm for suggestions!
