Hi Jacque~ just bought the Countryfile calendar~ been meaning to for ages but finally did it before they run out! There is a photo of poppies in a field for June and for some reason it just doesn't have any atmosphere or anything~ any of your poppy pics would have been 100 times better than that~ maybe you should think of entering the next Countryfile competition?~ the winner gets something like £1000 of photography equipment and the top 12 are published in the calendar. The winner last year was a red squirrel in the snow which was absolutely gorgeous but a lot of votes for that were because of the subject~ in my eyes you are winner no matter what the council chose!

Just had a look at my calendar Arlene,I agree.The picture is solid wild flowers and poppies ,makes me think of a very busy wallpaper ! There are always some fabulous entries and we often see better ones that they have discounted.
This is our third year of buying the calendar and it is for Children in Need,they must get thousands of entries.
Keep up the photography Jacque and enjoy clicking and sharing :)

Hi Aster ~ I think some of the small photos~the fox on the June page and the deer on July as well as the views on October and November were really good~ it'a a subjective thing ~we all don't like the same thing I suppose!

Yes they have to sell the calendar after all,there is usually good variety in the photo's to appeal to many.Some are of really good quality,hopefully they will enter other competitions :)
