Time to spare..

Yesterday was good for spending time in the garden, glorious sunshine, lovely roses..
Plenty of company..
My daughter helped me take the centre branches out of the bottom apple tree, I know its usually a winter job but the tree was really congested which was blocking the light for itself, the lawn and surrounding area, it has not produced many apples this year either, I`m hoping to prune the outer branches in Feb, weather pemitting, all the removed branches I cut and placed in my green bin ready for the next collection day, I`ve saved some of the thicker branches for both my daughters and my own woodpile…
I was hoping to mow the lawn today,( stupid woman should have carried on yesterday, SIGH) as the only gardening taking place today is watching through the windows, i did still have lots of visitors though..
Looking very bedraggled and without the family, like me I guess they also stayed undercover…
Todays pics taken through the windows, in between housework and catching up on goy, lol….

Nice to spend time in the garden. I'm sorry to hear you couldn't do it today. It's been dry here and I've been planting bulbs.
I hope your apple tree benefits from it's pruning and produces more fruit next year

Lovely blog L/lass and you still have some beautiful roses in bloom..Mine have been such a bedraggled lot this year, and my poor lawn is sodden..It squelches as you walk on it.. Loved all the birds at the feeders..Our Katy apple tree didn't bear much fruit this year either, generally she is laden with apples..Guess the wet Summer has a lot to do with this..
This blog made me smile..\0/x

Isnt it a great feeling to get so much work in the garden done, you have to take advantage when the weather permits, I did the same on Sunday! Your Roses are beautiful make the most of them before the frosts arrive, and so nice to see your family of Doves, mine have been busy raising2/3 families but back to ust the two of them now;0)

We have had it very soggy for days now, far too much rain around and lots of that very fine stuff that soaks you, have not been able to get out at all!! I like nice cold crisp days when you can do a few jobs and like you Lincs. have not been able to cut the lawn for a while now :(
Your feather friends look content though.

Your roses are looking lovely still, Lincs and we have 2 doves that come into our garden along with about 20 PIGEONS! They are not quite so welcome , especially after eating all the elderberries! I'll leave that to your imagination! YUK! We have had 2 very dismal foggy days in our part of Lincolnshire, so can only catch up with the housework and goy of course!

What a lot of doves you have. Gentle silly things!
