I love the way that winter is enchanting. Summer maybe heavenly but I like enchantment!!

Love the way you go down in to the garden Mossy...mist does make it feel wintry doesn't it. Still not got winter here yet though....so weird!

That arch is wonderful, just gives a magical feeling; but i like doorways anyway.
i was outside at 6 this morning ~ very foggy and still dark but the robin was singing away under the street light!!

Thank you all very much for your really nice comments. Thank you Pixi for your description, I take it as a great compliment as it is one of the things that I try to achieve. It feels like winter here Karensusan but it is still mild, don't forget that I come from the South of France... lol.

Nicely put Avis! Yes, of course Mossy....south of France....wow! I've never been and always wanted to. Furthest south I've been is Sarlat and St. Emilion....would be lovely to visit the Meditteranean coast...ah, one day! :)

Ah Karensusan, you didn't choose the worst areas. I like Sarlat, particularly the monastery, and St. Emilion, great, have you been there to sample the wines?

The day we got engaged we went to St. Emilion, just fabulous. Came back with boxes of wine!!

We are! The wine didn't last long!
We stayed at the 5 star hotel, the staff even wanted to unpack for us! The cheese board was the best in the world. I made a joke that I would like to try ALL the cheeses, so the waiter brought a long thin board with a teaspoonfull of each cheese!

Now, that's what I call service Lulu! Nope, no wine tasting that trip Mossy, as we had two small children with us! Now they are all grown up, we should really go back shouldn't we?...so pretty! And as for Sarlat...well that whole area is just gorgeous. I first went there on a French Song course in Martel and had to go back with my family...it rained and rained, but even the dreadful weather couldn't take away the beauty of the places we visited. And the food! Wow!

I decided to find your page after you writing on mine and I'm glad I did. This was the very first thing I put on and its enchanting,I'm looking forward to seeing more. Stickie, what were you doing up at 6am this morning!

I missed this back in the Autumn, Mossy, and hadn't expected you to be back in Chigwell. I just tried to cheer myself up this morning by looking at past pictures of your amazing, atmospheric, romantic and magical garden, and found new pictures. I am truly envious of your talents and your garden. Most of your photographs have made their way into my favourites, and you have your own folder on my desktop. Nice to see you back.

The way you took the picture raised a strong feel of go down the stairs and sit on that chair.
As everybody else I also want to go to France... this year hopefully. My son will move to Grenoble for 6 - 8 months as part as his Master Degree, and... of course... I'm going to visit him there.

Since I returned from France, the work here in my garden (new project) and with customers and new customers, it has been absolutely hectic.

I hope to write a blog in the next few days when I get some time.
