Hi Dotty and Karen ... Castle Ashby has very spacious gardens ...
lots of lovely lawns and beautiful architecture ...

I know, Terra...unattainable orangeries...
...and me with a Lidl citrus mitas looking for a good home...

Conker loved those lawns.
He was well-behaved as usual !
Karen ... this is many miles from Lidl ;o)

But sometimes Lidl plants grow to a splendor, TT. My Tesco rhododendron grows and blooms while others - bought in famous and expensive GC - have still some problems.

Yes ... bargain price plants often grow very well :o)

Exactly! They are happy to survive, so do not make problems. Like people.

The Italians seem very good at gardens with water playing and rocky thingies....I watched Monti Don. The arch is very grand. Conker is so good at improving a scene. Even in an Italian garden.

Just looked this place up on the WWW and it's a lovely place. We reckon about 2 hours drive from here.

You're very lucky, lots of rain. There's been no rain here in months...and we won't get any until Nov or Dec. (most likely).

Come off it Terratoonie. I've been a member of GoY for some years now and, although I don't always comment, I know most peoples gardens. I know this is yours. Why else would Conker look so at home? :-))

Okay, okay, we confess...

This is Conker's "country seat" ... he spends his weekends here ... It takes absolutely ages for him to mow all those lawns and clip that topiary x

We've "come clean" on our latest photo ;o)

He really does look like Lord of the manor there!
