OH bought these in tight bud on Saturday (two days ago) and their scent is now filling the room. A gorgeous touch of Spring!

Definitely a host of golden daffodils! Even the intrusive one 🌼

Daffodils with their brilliant yellow, (or orange or white) flowers would cheer up the most depressed person! These are lovely! 👍
It will be some time yet before I see any on the balcony - not even buds are visible yet at soil level.

Sheila, years and years ago, when me and my friend were about 10, we went daffodil picking
for pocket money. A small truck picked us up, (my, you wouldn't do it now!) And we sat in the open air back, down to the daffodil and tulip fields. Rows and rows of dark green leaves and buds and spots of bright yellow trumpets. We were shown how stoop over the row, pick a dozen, band them up and throw them between our legs behind us and carry on. A whole day for £1 each. It was hard work, but we loved it and the smell of green and daffodil flowers has stayed with me ever since. I love their scent. We didn't pick the tulips when they were flowering, but the whole area of colourful fields in spring was beautiful.
It's been a major roundabout and two large retail parks for years now...:((

Thank you very much Kate, Julia and David.
Interesting story Janey … the things we did in our innocent young lives!

Have only just found these and I can imagine the scent and the joy they gave you. I love them too and if I can come home with a bunch at this time of year it is such a lovely feeling.
I hope you have either still got yours or .......bought another bunch or two!!!
