Thank you. I have just wandered passed the pond and tried to do a head count, very difficult as there are other slightly larger ducklings there too. All seems well :)
I've seen Dawn's blog, Amy, and it really made me laugh. I think I had the easier task :)

Thats where Daisy Duck went to. Gee I'm jealous our mummy duck laid and then left (cats we think). They are so cute - I want them...

Och bless 'em! Thanks for sharing that! The wee ducklings have such serene faces, just a lovely blog, I've put it in my faves, to keep just to look at...gorgeous!

Thats excellent. My son who lives in Rolvenden has a duck who visits every year we know its her because she has a strange lump on her back. We were house sitting in 2009 when she had her first clutch, she gave birth to them under the weeping willow tree. She would then walk them cross the road to the village pond for an outing. Imagine our excitment when she came the following year and then again this year. Lovely blog thanks.

Hi Gee. Fab photos and loved the captions. Lucky you. I've not been able to come on GoY as often as i'd like either. Am sharing Daughters laptop, and at the moment she's studying so my time is limited. ;o)

I really appreciate all your lovely comments. JackieJenkin, the duck nested in my garden - it was a long 28 day wait for them to hatch :)

Wonderful, wonderful photos, I just adored the one where they were testing and trying the tiny pond before they ventured out to the real thing.
Gone on my favourites, could watch and watch again.
Bless.

Beautiful babies, lovely mums these ducks, I wonder where father is? Typical man, leaves it all to the woman. lol. I hope they continue to do so well, she needs sunshine and showers and not much heavy rain to keep them going. Hope she brings them back to see you.

Olive, two 'fathers' escorted Mum into the garden each day and waited and kept watch a lot of the time. One only had one foot and I made sure he got something to eat too as he seemed rather intimidated by the other one. He is still coming to the garden each morning :)
Thanks, Stroller, that little pond now needs a desperate clean up :)
20 May, 2011
lovely photos Gee, put a smile on my face. You are very lucky to have them visit your garden.

A lovely little story, print it out for a children's book, add more adventures, the kids would love it. I loved the shot where little one is peering over the edge, man it must have seemed dangerous.
Lovely blog.
