Hi everyone, after a very long absence I thought it was about time I took a few pictures around my garden yesterday. Good job I did, as the weather is just terrible today, and so cold. I hope you are all keeping well. I have looked in from time to time, and thank you to those dear friends that asked after me. I haven’t done much gardening yet really and things need a lot of tidying up and preparation for summer (?) – hope we get one – but thought you might like to see what is going on, so here goes ….

Heuchera Marmalade

Spirea Gold Flame

H. Georgia Peach

H. Caramel

Camelia.

Brunnera Jack Frost and Hellebore Picotee

Acer Orange Dream

H. Berry Smoothie and Marmalade

Tiarella Iron Butterfly

Good to see you on GoY again Cinders - that first photo is wonderful - what a fabulous specimen! The Acer 'Orange Dream' is beautiful - I only hope mine will grow so tall one day. And the Coronilla - wow! Looks as though you had to have some new fence panels after the storms of late? Keep warm and dry! :o)

Hi Shirley, That Heuchera is several years old now, and seems to like that spot, and Orange Dream, well I have had it bagged up all winter as it was too tall to put in the greenhouse. I was so worried about it, having lost a few in the past, but thankfully it is fine.
Yes I had to have six new fence panels, some on the side and some at the bottom after all the wind and rain.

Your garden is always so interesting and colourful, and you've got some lovely Heucheras.
I hope you are feeling all right now. I've also taken a break - not been on since Feb lol

Hi Sbg. Wish I could meet up again, but not possible I'm afraid. The plants you asked about are Hosta Stiletto. They have narrower leaves than most. Have a nice day at Harrogate.

Hello Sandra, thanks for lovely comments. The fence panels needed replacing anyway, so it was ok really.

It all looks so colourful. The Heuchera add so much don't you think? Glad your Acer has survived. Thanks for naming the Hosta - was going to ask but SBG got there before me - they look very eye catching in those pots.
I hope the weather warms up for you and you can get outdoors and enjoy your lovely space. Oh, and welcome back!

Hi Cinders nice to see you again and your lovely garden, not sure whether we are coming or going with the weather do we, here in lincs we seem to be having about 4 days of really gorgeous days and then back to dull, cold ones and even turn the heating back on, mind you it doesn't seem to be holding the gardens back, lovely photo's Cinders.......

Hi DD. Thank you. Oh I have been popping in, but just couldn't get enthusiastic. Have been growing lots of things for our Country Markets locally and quite busy with that at the moment. Just wish the weather would improve so I can move some out from greenhouse !!

Welcome back CInders :-), always enjoy seeing pictures of your lovely garden, love all your heuchera, something seems to have taken a fancy to mine only the light coloured ones though strangely.

27 Apr, 2014

Thank you Gilljohn for your kind words. Heuchera are a great help in the garden I find.

Hi Simbad, sorry to hear your heuchera are not doing well. I think the lighter ones are not as strong as the others, but that is just my feeling. They give a lovely colour to the garden when other things are not flowering don't they.

27 Apr, 2014

Glad to see you back again Cinderella and ready to enjoy your garden. Heucheras looking good too. They add a splash of colour on dull days and bright ones.

Thank you Dorjac. Everything is looking very miserable again today and bedraggled. I can't wait for some decent weather so we can start planting.
