I sprinkled a few seeds about the place in the front garden, to fill in the gaps … and they’re coming up now. A bit small yet, but there’s plenty of time.
I can’t remember what they all were, but there are some Calendulas, Red Flax, Cornflowers … and a few others I can’t remember now
A white Dicentra doing well :-
Bella enjoying the sunshine :o)
A cracked slab lol I’ll have to replace it one day :-
Bella and I enjoyed weeding and watering the front this morning. The sun was lovely and warm. I hope you like how it’s developing :o)

The garden is looking good and now the weather has warmed everything will take off nicely. The Hostas and Begonias are looking nice and plump and healthy, no slug attacks there!
The annuals will soon put on a spurt of growth and make a lovely show, whatever they are.
Bella obviously knows the bricks and slabs hold the heat and are warmer than sitting on the garden - or she's well trained!
I wouldn't worry about the cracked slab, gives it character and you could always tuck a thyme or sedum in the crack to cover it.

It looks great Hywel. I've been thinking of sprinkling some seeds to fill the gaps, but knowing me I would mistake them for weeds when they started coming up and pull them all up again!

It's coming up a treat, Hywel, lots of colour already and more to look forward to. I love that hosta, how are you managing to keep it slug free? I have to keep mine in pots!

There will be plenty of colour there in a few weeks Hywell........What a great help Bella is! I'm sure you wouldn't be able to manage the garden without her!!! lovely that you have a new companion in your garden!

Its looking really attractive Hywel, the plants you have chosen stand out really well against the red brick, Bella amuses me, I think you have a real lady there, she always looks so superior in the photo's, almost as though she's doing you a favour by allowing you to take the photo's, lol......

Thank you all for reading about my front garden, and for your comments :o)
Tuesdaybear, Red Flax is a pretty annual. It grows a few inches high and is the brightest red colour. I hope they are the ones that have germinated.
Honeysuckle, thank you about the cracked slab. I think I'll take your advice :o)
Gee, there are no slugs in that soil yet. It is new soil I had delivered, to fill in behind the wall, and the slugs have not found their way to it yet lol.
Freeasabird, There are 2 Heucheras there. Someone from GoY sent them to me, but I can't remember who lol. One of the Heucheras is Sweet Tea. I can't remember the other one. If I remembered who sent them, I would be able to ask ... but I can't ...

I do like it, and how quickly things move on! I love the zingy reds with the acid green of the hosta leaves. It's looking quite vibrant; glad you two had fun. I'm back outside in a minute - just popped in to check out a couple of plants. Never seen red flax. That sounds interesting and will look forward to pictures.
