On 'Countryfile' tonight, Adam said that the calves are just like teddy bears! I love the adults too though.

I live beside Pollok Country Park where they bread their prize winning highland cattle. The calves are like teddy bears. They have the red brown colour, black, light cream and I think the call it coffee colour, cattle. They show the adults with calves at the highland games etc. Next time I'm there I will see if they have any young ones. :o)

I was safely behind the fence!

Thank you all for your comments! made me smile.

How lovely Linda, I went to one small highland games once, great fun, especially the caber tossing.

I'm sure they only used to be in Scotland but now they are increasingly popular, which is great.

I love your Satchmo, Karen - reminds me of a dog we once had. Hope he is feeling better now.

Oops morning bloomer! Nearly missed your comment! I did see country file, I like it, I also get the magazine. Those calves are gorgeous. I was wondering how Adam wanted people to tell their suggestions? Was it via the web site?

I don't know,Sticki..never thought of that ! We always record it,if we are unable to watch it..a great programme..but I was sad when they said those little chickens only lived for 49 days ..although they do have a good life up to then....such a short time..:o(
