Grandma Fuchsia

I'm so glad you found fuchsias with names to match both wonderful grandmothers, and appropriate to remember them in May :o)

:o)))) Hywel this touched my heart two lovely ladies with fuchsias to match and most important of all that they obviously mean so much to their grandson, only hope that mine remember me so fondly.

wow thats excellent, what a lovely idea to buy plants with names connected to your family, ive got a daughter called Hannah, im sure ive just bought fushsia called this name too:-)

That is really nice Hywel, I have an Aquilegia called Dorothy after my mother. My dad was called Jimmy.....not too many plants called Jimmy. :o)))

I couldnt help thinking they looked alike. But then people often marry people who look like them dont they? Did your father's family resemble you mother's?
My fuchsias are without flowers as yet- I have stopped them and hope the sun comes out to encourage them!

Rachelsmum, My grandmothers didn't look alike. Hannah was tall and thin, and Winifred was short and fat lol

Linda I don't think I'll find fuchsias with my parents' names either. They had Welsh names, just like me. No plants to be had called Hywel lol :o)

Happy birthday from me too. My mother was called Hannah. I will always be on the lookout for a plant called Hywel now but as you say it might be a long wait!
