And so a few general photos this week, keep you updated
Ok so firstly Olly and the snails have settled in well, heres one saying hi
Decided to put some sludge and stones down for Olly so here are all the guys
In the water pot, and LOOK who knows what these are? yep seems like its water snail eggs (if its not tell me ; )
and more eggs
and back in, enjoying a swim
In the front, the golden arch, and the big day a few days ago where the clems finally touched for the first time
The arch is looking very good so far, wanted it more bushy on the right hand side but hey the left is looking fantastic
and the giant Stipa grass has these lovely seeds
small campanula looks nice
and for Sticki, Pimper and all you foodies out there repairing your car, heres your all day breakfast, get you in the mood to tackle the brake hose ; )
Ok back over the veg patch and goosey is keeping an eye on the boys
hello boys…hello
ah hello Gnuts, hows it going, having a nap? oh its Stevie
prrrr zzzzzzzz
Over now to the polycave, the white lightning passion flower is doing great
and the tomatoes are all in (all 18 of them ; ) and growing rapidly, this will really show the polytunnels strengths
and good for the grapevines
and yes a while ago the passions collided over the door, with loads of buds
Buds all over the white lightening as well
And common passion flowers, try not to get in the shot ok
white lightening yet more this week
and back again, does this go with my old shirt
and just over this last week going from one end to the other with new flowers
looking up at the door
other side
and outside whats Gnuts up to?
ah steady now
Just sat watching
and still there later on the right, can you see
and back to todays passion flowers
facing the outside
grapes have grown quite a bit in the last 3 days
how about some poles for the toms, was going to use string but have lots of these so hey
a couple
a triple
right in the corner, yeah get ya face in!
ok fella thats it for today, coming abck after cutting down the weeds
and I leave Gnuts to explore the cuttings…meow
.(=^_^=).
added shot of side of arch
….Extra extra update. a couple more pics….
Hello little fella, found him hiding in the end of a pice of wood. Sorry for the blur. OMG is that a snake in the bottom right hand corner
Very pleased with myself, had let the veg patch area get rather over grown, cut all this by hand with the scythe, alot of the nettles where shoulder hight : /
For Lulu, Clematis ‘Arabella’ (I think) after rescuing it from the weeds. didnt know what to do with it so stuck it by the fence, large root on it, should I take it back?

Well Lulu thats what you get when you need to finissh the sausages and frozen fishcakes ; ) maybe a bowl of cereal in the evening as well
18 Jun, 2012
We got liver n' bacon tonight with a side order of grilled snake!
18 Jun, 2012
Passion flowers look wonderful...... Now please don't laugh ...... Do passion flowers produce passion fruit, the edible wrinkly doodahs.........
18 Jun, 2012
instead of black pudding???
18 Jun, 2012
stevie i think you should contact guiness book of records with that white passionflower ~ how far will it grow and how many flowers on??
18 Jun, 2012
i had loads of snail eggs last year steve but the fish ate alot lol, infact all my snails are gone now, what happened i dont know, anyway fab pics, love the one with puss watching chucks haha, lovely passion flower to :o))
18 Jun, 2012
Don't think they do Magnadoodle!! We should google it...
18 Jun, 2012
Not passion fruit Magna, but a fruit that is quite bitter.
Gorgeous pics Stevie, love the p.flower looking out!! You live in a great place, looks quite peaceful.
18 Jun, 2012
thanks folks, I am thinking of taking all shots at arms length looking backwards ; )
just to clarify for safety reasons, yes mega breakfast but the sauce you can see is ketchup and a tad of brown source and not brake fluid which is highly toxic
NB news flash will be doing only raw foods for july
18 Jun, 2012
a backwards looking blog???
raw food????
18 Jun, 2012
That was great. Your pasion flower is looking good and so is the arch :o)
18 Jun, 2012
Hywel, just added a pic at the end, on the left side. If you look at the gap between the trellis and the arch, the Bill Mackenzie Clematis fills that gap nicely. The pic doesn't do it justice as its nice n bushy and looks nice. Visually brings it all away from the wall and joins up all the shoots
18 Jun, 2012
its fabulous Stevie! should go into the NGS yellow book ~ the first trellis entry??
18 Jun, 2012
Great blog Stevie. I just love Olly!!!
Passion flowers is superb, in fact all of it superb. Thanks for sharing :)
18 Jun, 2012
I can see the photo ... it looks as if everything is growing in pots, and it's all filling out nicely.
19 Jun, 2012
Its all looking fantastic Stevie..oh those passion flowers! Wow! Love Gnuts she is cheeky eh?
Not sure about the breakfast lol..You'll get fat! Lovely pics :))
19 Jun, 2012
That is what I would call an idyllic way of life Stevie.
Cat, goats, goose, polycave (sorry forgot chickens) - growing your own food. Do you know how lucky you are? Some poeple can only dream about it. If I were you the polycave would be full of different vegetables (room for few climbers as well, lol)
Nice to see you getting more and more involved in gardening, your place is really looking better every month:)

19 Jun, 2012
well done you!! gardening helps and you have lots of steep hills you could be climbing near you? btw how far are you from loch lomond?
19 Jun, 2012
I would recommend a job in a garden centre if you want too loose more than a stone, lol. Especially in spring. Have to invite myself for a coffee somewhere with a bathroom scale. Don't have my own:(
BTW - how many kilos are in a stone? Never really remember ;-)
19 Jun, 2012
Too many!!!!!!!!!!!
I think about 6.6 kilos to a stone..........
19 Jun, 2012
Nah I dotn do climbing lol but been in garden all day weeding etc..think I will have lost a few more pounds! Lock Lomond is a fair bit from me ST..i'm in Fife.
