19 Nov, 2009
First of all, Mr. December wins my vote hands down! Secondly, your pictures are just fantastic~ I only wish I lived near you (so I could get invited to stroll through your garden!!). Third(ly?)~ what kind of camera are you using, as your pictures seem to just jump off my computer screen? Thanks for this blog~ I very much enjoyed it! Lisa :)

19 Nov, 2009
Lovely blog Tt. Your April path is breathtaking, I wish I could grow aubrieta but it doesn't like my clay soil:-( Conker though, as usual, has to be the calendar star:-))
19 Nov, 2009
Hi Bornagain...
Aubrieta does love good drainage, so I guess your clay soil must be very heavy and solid... Conker says thank you :o)
19 Nov, 2009
Brilliant blog, Terra! Mr December looks just perfect!!
19 Nov, 2009
Handsome postman, what more could one ask for, Mr December could grace my walls any day. Well done Terra.........

20 Nov, 2009
Thank you, Madperth, Lincslass and Bob ~
... and special thanks from Mr. December,. :o)))
20 Nov, 2009
With any luck it won't be long 'til Mr Postman is back on the job:-)) I think my soil is acid rather than sticky and heavy so I might try some lime? this year and have another try at aubrieta your April has really whetted my appetite. You can put my name down for a calendar too Tt and don't forget the book I'm expecting you to write about multi talented brave little Conker.... postman, gardener, model, nurse, astronaut? the list is endless:-)
20 Nov, 2009
Hi Bornagain... Thank you.
Over the winter, when there's not so much gardening going on, I'm hoping to make a couple of new blogs about Conker's tricks etc..
Aubrieta needs watering well while settling in ..I prefer to use rainwater... but it does require very good drainage....so maybe add more gravel and stones under each aubrieta plant you put in. I love the aubrieta and it stays in flower for a long time. My garden path aubrieta pic. above is also on my home page photos.
20 Nov, 2009
Thanks for the advice Tt, but I noticed you glossed over all mention of the book. In the meantime I look forward to Conkers blogs:-)
20 Nov, 2009
What a fantastic blog.....those pics are prizewinning....mind you... so is your garden!!
If you ever produce a REAL calendar.....I will be first in the queue TT !

After all your hard work, I forgot to 'Like it' ! Omission rectified and lovely to look through it again:-)
4 Dec, 2009
Hi Bornagain...
I'm pleased you like my idea of making a calendar as a blog....
I'd been thinking of doing the calendar back in August, and glad I found photos suitable for each month... and I made it harder for myself in that the plants also had to begin with the correct letter of the alphabet to match the months!
Yes, I did put a lot of work into it... and thanks for coming back to add a "like"....much appreciated :o)
5 Dec, 2009
Ah yes I remember it now lol its lovely one wonderful close up.
5 Dec, 2009
