Great photos. Just shows theres always something going on in the garden. Yesterday I covered my bird feeding stands with artifisual ivy & they love it. They have been full of birds all day even in this weather.

Pic #2 the starling, wow that is a keeper! It totally sums up January.
I'm also climbing the walls, it doesn't help working lates and having 3 hours of usable dullight on my days off. Not sure when, but the starting gun will fire one week and I'll be busy until October.

Same here today - grey, wet and dreary. Watched birds for ages and discovered in process just how dirty my windows are. Ah well, no point in trying to clean them in the rain!

Lovely photos! Sorry you guys are having bad weather. We're promised a lovely day today, so we're off up a local mountain with a fresh tortilla (blog later). Hope you get some decent days soon. :o)

It was the same here, then it stopped around 3.30 pm, so went out there to finish the path around 4.00 pm. :)))

Lincslass, I haven't been on for a while and decided to write a blog on OUR wet, miserable weather. Reading yours makes me realise we're not alone.
Normally we have snow and clear blue skies in january but, for the last two weeks, we've had misty drizzle.
Real "slash your wrists" weather; there are things I need to do but just can't raise any enthusiasm...
Still, like the song says, "Things can only get better"

Yesterday seemed a bit of everything, started with 1c and icy rain, then it started to warm up to 9c by bedtime, very dreary though, I,m trying to make sourdough bread, yesterdays effort made a very nice paving slab and kept its heat so well I was tempted to use it as a footwarmer.....

Lovely set of pics Sue :o)))
Lots of wet weather around today.

Great set of bird snaps, Lincs! I also love to watch birds. Other than gulls & starling don't see much else from the flat. I love to see the birds that have little fear of humans & let you get really up close! I've been within touching distance of blackbirds & robins & even gulls.
Years ago as I returned home from the night shift at the factory they'd come down & you'd have to duck to avoid being hit by them!
Weather in this neck of the woods is as bad as many of you are having. I couldn't go down to the allotment today, not because it was raining but because of all the rain that fell yesterday & the rain we are forecast for tonight!

Lovely pictures Lincslass....btw...your windows are awfully clean not a mark in sight :)

Shouldn't the fat balls come out of the netting? I keep reading that birds can get there feet caught in it.

Even the poor birdies look fed up, poor things :)

Love that second photo of the starling - he does look miserable, bless. Hope the weather has improved a bit for you by now. Frosty start here today but now bright sunshine (but still cold).

Lovely pics. Lincs especially as they were taken from inside. Our winter doesn't seem to have started yet , but we have had a lot of dull showery days.Too wet to do anything outside and I sometimes wonder what I did before I got the computer and went on goy.

Nice bird photos Sue. I hope you don't feel so couped up now. Maybe we'll all feel better with the lengthening days :o) I haven't been on for a while - got fed up with all the clicking and typing lol.
