I don't know the song either TT but your garden is a musical treat for the eye and spirit.

BTW, how on earth do you manage get those muscial squiggles and that fancy type of writing in your blogs ?????? !!!!!!!! It's as much if I can the photos in the right order and not lose them en route !!

Thanks Sbg, Grandmage, Bornagain, Heron, Pansypotter, Khayla, Neellan, Waheeda, Dotty, Sixpence, Delonix, Alice, Pips, Mavis, Sandra, Dylandog, Flori, BB, Holly, Katnip, Pottyg, Wagger, Toto, Sueb, Hywel, Jbardet, Oddbillie, Aleyna, Cate and Terry60 ...

Yes, the Ceanothus does stay in flower for quite a while.... I've replaced the photo of Rose Handel in this blog with one which shows the variegated leaves more clearly...

I find it interesting to read which photos you like best.... I promise my furry four-footed friends will return to my blogs soon... and, yes, Crocus the budgie does have a view out of the window.... so he can watch the sparrows at the feeders...

and, no, many things in my garden are not forbidden ... and we could well be even more depraved during June and July ;o)

... get ready, Jbardet and others ...
... to throw your self control away... LOL.

31 May, 2010

What a wonderful blog again, TT! I was wondering if you had written a new blog recently when I looked in my list of favourites & saw you had written a new blog!

I love that song & the wonderful month of May! I was born in this month & so perhaps that has something to do with my love of gardening!

Glad to hear that your "furry friends" are still getting along nicely! :-)

Your rose, Handel, surprised me as I can never remember having seen a variegated rose before!!!

31 May, 2010

Hi Balcony...
Happy Birthday for your special day in May :o)
I wonder if I can root cuttings from Handel.....

Yes, thanks ...

31 May, 2010

Tortoises and Poppy fine, TT, but I think you must have missed my blog. Chloe died last Tuesday - first time back on GoY today. I am having trouble sitting still so am wandering from one thing to another. She's left a very big hole for such a little dog.

31 May, 2010

I'm so very sorry, Gee...
I missed some days on GoY midweek..
I'll go look for your blog.... xxx

Your garden is "blooming" lovely, such a joy to see your photos and the song an extra bonus, just one question --------where do you find the time to give us all these inspirational blogs ? :0))

1 Jun, 2010

Hello Valadel...
Thanks for visiting my " Lusty " blog. LOL.

I'm not sure I'll have so much time during the summer ... with the charity dog shows and lots of garden tasks planned ! :o)

1 Jun, 2010

Your garden looks incredible!

1 Jun, 2010

Hi Strawbjack... welcome to GoY.
I'm pleased you like my "Lusty" garden. Lol. :o)

1 Jun, 2010

absolutely faaaaabulous!!! I so love Ceanothus. I haven't got one but seriously been thinking of getting one. My Mother-in-Law offered to buy me one last year, but I declined because at the time she asked I didn't have anywhere to plant it permanently. She bought herself one, but it died. Have no idea why. Am glad I didn't accept her offer, I would have been heartbroken had it been mine.

1 Jun, 2010

Sorry I missed this - you can guess why, I'm sure!

Lovely photos and it's so nice to see your flowers and garden. I don't know the musical or the song, but it doesn't matter...I loved the pics!!! :-))

1 Jun, 2010

Hi TT, sorry I'm late again, been away for a couple of days, the problem there is catching up when you get back. Lovely photos, the peonies are looking really good at the moment. I couldn't sing the song, but Sylvia loves these musicals.

1 Jun, 2010

Thanks. Sh. glad you like the photos.. :o)

Hi Linda... Thanks for looking in on my blog..
Yes, Ceanothus is a nice shrub.. lots of different varieties...
They need to be watered well till established... mine are all planted in sunny places... I've recently planted one which will be in the rather a lot of shade till it grows to about 5 ft, so I'm hoping it will survive !

1 Jun, 2010

Hello Bob...
Right now I'm imagining Sylvia singing to you "LUSTY MONTH OF MAY" ... even though we are now in June. Lol. x

1 Jun, 2010

Hi TT, is there no end to your talent, Dog trainer, poet and Gardener. The blogs just keep getting better and so does the garden. Hugs to you and yours.

1 Jun, 2010

Hi Stroller...

2 Jun, 2010

Hi Boots... thanks for visiting my blog :o)

3 Jun, 2010

I've been tending my roses today, and I've realised that it is my variegated leaf rose in the front garden which is "Handel" ... the rose in the photo is in the back garden... a climber by the name of "Best Wishes".
Sorry if I confused anyone ! :o)

3 Jun, 2010

You also have a variegated climbing rose??? Is there no end to the surprises in your garden???

3 Jun, 2010

Hi Balcony...
"Handel" and "Best Wishes" are both variegated climbing roses ... I think that's why I got muddled for a moment about which was which !

There are lots more surprises in my gardens ... but I'm only letting you see a few at a time.... don't want to alarm you too much all at once. ;o) Lol.

3 Jun, 2010

I'd never heard this song before the other day, Sarah Kennedy played it on her 'showtunes' spot and I thought it was marvellous. Strange coincidence that I now find you writing a blog to its lyrics? Or is there no such thing as coincidence, only fate???!!! Fantastic blog TT, gorgeous pictures of beautiful garden, I love ceanothus, bought one from my local nursery but it has yet to spring into action (no pun intended!). It remains a tiny specimen sheltered in a corner, but I did detect a couple of buds on it the other day, so I live in hope. At least it didn't die on me :)

5 Jun, 2010

Hi Mrs.3dogs...
Once Ceanothus shrubs get going, they usually do very well indeed. I hope yours grows well for you. What a coincidence that you heard Lusty Month of May for the first time... I can just imagine Sarah Kennedy playing that .LOL.

Glad you like the blog. :o)

5 Jun, 2010

Hi Terra,

Your garden looks superb as usual and what lovely photos you take too. I can`t wait for my Arthur Bell climber to look as good as yours. I DID send you a reply to your IM but I really wonder if you recieved it. I checked my outbox but there is no sign of any message recently sent to you so I`ll send another one soon...how odd though! :o)
